Not sure where to start?

These are the sizes we cut most weeks. Tap one and the calculator above fills in — then tweak any dimension to fit your object exactly.

Every size between and beyond these is available — the calculator prices anything from 50mm to 2 metres.

How it works

Measured to made in four steps

Measure

Measure your object and add 20–30mm clearance each side. Millimetres, not guesswork.

Quote

Type the size into the calculator. The price you see is the price — no email gate, no callback.

We cut

Your panels are CNC-cut from XT acrylic, polished and butt-jointed in our Brighton workshop.

Delivered

Wrapped, boxed and dispatched in 5–7 working days. Collection from the workshop welcome.

Why we're the cheapest

No importer. No reseller. Just the workshop.

We own the machines

Your case is cut on our CNC at 11–13 Shaftesbury Place, Brighton. Most "UK" case sellers are drop-shipping imports with a 3–4× markup. We're the factory they'd be buying from.

Cut to order, not to stock

No warehouse full of boxes we have to pay for. Your sheet gets nested with the day's production, so material waste — and your price — stays low.

Trade-grade material

XT acrylic, polished edges, butt-jointed corners. The same spec we supply to shopfitters and museums, at the same trade rate.

The workshop

Made in Brighton by The Cutting Room

The Cutting Room is the acrylic fabrication arm of AA Taylor Ltd, a Brighton joinery and manufacturing company. We build point-of-sale displays, retail fixtures and museum cases for trade customers across the UK — display cases are simply the same work, sold direct.

Every case leaves the same benches, cut on the same machines, checked by the same people. There's no separate "consumer" production line, and no separate consumer markup.

FAQ

Straight answers

Why are you cheaper than everyone else?

Because you're buying from the factory. Most display case websites don't own a machine — they resell imported cases or subcontract to workshops like ours. We cut out that layer, and the calculator prices your case the same way we price trade work: material used plus fabrication, nothing padded.

Is the calculator price the final price?

The case price is fixed — VAT and delivery are added on top when we confirm your order, so the final total will be higher than the calculator figure. Delivery depends on case size and your postcode. If your case needs a door, hinges, a base or an unusual shape, we confirm the price by email before anything is cut. No surprises after ordering.

Acrylic or glass?

Acrylic is half the weight of glass, many times more impact-resistant, and clearer (92% light transmission). It's what museums use for object covers. It can scratch if abused — we include care instructions, and light scratches polish out.

What size should I order?

Measure your object at its widest points and add 20–30mm clearance each side, plus 20mm above. For anything on a stand or mount, measure the whole assembly. If you're unsure, email a photo with rough sizes and we'll spec it for you.

How is it delivered?

Corner-protected, wrapped and boxed, by courier across UK mainland. Delivery is quoted with your order confirmation, based on case size and postcode — it is not included in the calculator price. You can also collect from the Brighton workshop for free.

Can you make bases and plinths?

Yes — we're a joinery company first. Sprayed MDF plinths, oak bases, fabric-wrapped display boards, wall-mount hardware. Ask when you order and we'll quote the case and base together.

Do you do bulk or trade orders?

All the time — retail rollouts from 10 to 10,000+ units through our main site, The Cutting Room. For repeat or volume display case orders, email us for a trade account and volume pricing.

Acrylic display cases, made to measure in the UK

We manufacture clear acrylic display cases in Brighton for customers across the UK — from single perspex cube cases for trainers, LEGO sets, funko figures and scale models, through wall-mounted cases for signed football shirts and framed memorabilia, to lockable counter display cases for retail and floor-standing museum vitrines. Because every case is CNC-cut to order from XT acrylic sheet, there are no standard-size limitations: if you need a 237 × 181 × 94 mm case, that is exactly what we cut.

Our factory-direct model means you pay the workshop's price, not a reseller's. Use the calculator at the top of this page for an instant display case quote — dimensions in millimetres, price on screen, no email address required. Dispatch is typically 5–7 working days across UK mainland, or collect free from our Brighton workshop.

Odd shape? Big run? Branded?

Angled fronts, printed logos, hinged doors, 50-off retail runs — we cut it all. Tell us what you need.
